Short summary
In this paper, We tried to answer two major questions: To what extent are the laboratory results reliable? How well can the lab results represent the rock behaviour on a larger scale? we have discussed the usefulness of laboratory true triaxial experiments in duplicating the field scenarios. We have reconstructed field P-wave velocity profile from laboratory measurements and compared it with the field velocity measurements and observed a good agreement between two sources.
